Pros

Free Tea and Coffee. Great if you like working 12 hour days and being shouted at.

Cons

A very unpleasant and unfriendly place to work. Long long hours. No structure or training and a very strong blame culture. Seriously the place could make someone ill from working there the stress it causes. Old technology - in house developed and useless for your CV.

Pros

I think the job is quite good in itself. I mean that in terms of the role. It's really quite ranged and the technology is quite exciting too. This be coming from someone who wasn't technical but left with some know-how. In that way I can't fault it. Some of the grads hired are actually quite nice people, I had a lot of fun with them

Cons

The main reason for marking the role down is the culture and mentality of management, they are very petty and personal. The CEO (understandably, considering the company is his passion project) can be very personal behind your back. The reviews on here show this. For almost every negative review written the CEO will respond with the first line dismissing their credibility, i.e. 'sorry you didn't pass your probation period', 'we only let people go rarely' etc. There's also been a sudden influx of positive reviews after numerous negative ones. It's funny that, it could be a sign that the company has turned over a new leaf? Or it could not? We'll never know!

Pros

You get a lot of responsibility early on. But that is only because senior members of the company don't want to be blamed for anything. The security guy is really friendly.

Cons

Pretty much no training at all, you're pretty much thrown in the deep end where clients can shout at you. You're expected to fix problems you have no idea about and get shouted at when you do it wrong ?!? A lot of senior members really don't like taking responsibility and are happy to blame a new hire in order to save themselves. Although there are a few really nice ones who are willing to spend time to help out. But most of the time it's everyone for themself. There is no work life balance, there were weeks where you could be be working up to 70 hours and no praise from it. 10hour days were the norm, even though the contract was 9-530.
