You will love this job if you are a masochist

Cons

As a new engineer you will be expected to work until 9/10/11pm on most nights and some weekends (you will not be paid for this). If you want these hours work for a bank and get double what Content Guru pay you. The working atmosphere is horrible, the people are unfriendly and unhelpful. They have no support system and you will be met with disgust and impatience if you ask for help. The pay progression for new engineers is slow. They simply will not value you as a person.

Pros

Fast-growing company dealing in cloud sector, which is booming. Very friendly atmosphere. High salaries, they pay at the top end of the spectrum. Have a very good team. Most employees are academically strong (Oxbridge types) and everyone works hard. You get experience dealing across a wide range of sectors (e.g. finance, public sector, retail, utilities). There are lots of extra-curricular team-building activities (meals and team-building events). They have nice offices. There are opportunities to work abroad.

Cons

You need to love the job! Everyone is warned that they will need to show strong commitment (standard of work and hours when required) and there is high attrition rate in probationary period. Those that stay are there for many years. Management team is small. UK HQ is in Bracknell, which can't compete with nearby London for nightlife.

Not a lot of positives to be honest. There are some really nice people who work there! Unlimited supplies of tea & coffee. Glamorous Christmas party!

Cons

Expected to work really long hours (9am - 11pm) without any overtime pay or additional breaks - I'm pretty sure some of the hours they make the engineers work are immoral. Just work hard environment, no time to socialise! Frowned upon if you leave on time. They use and abuse you! Really slow career progression.
