Pros

None of any note. The free company merchandise possibly, along with the short working day (around 5 hours), and not forgetting the "all you can grab" petty cash at the end of the month.

Cons

So many I would need an entire web site to list them. The biggest issue is the god-bothering sub culture that exists within the company. The evangelical hierarchy are guilty of two things; one, they are clueless, and two, they exude the most abhorrent attitude towards the employees, it makes you sick. The entire company is rotten. Be warned, if you have anything about you then do not give up your talent/skill/experience for Battery Systems.

In response to the input I must note that the only employee that worked over three years in this new location did not have the title of warehouse manager (nor did anyone at this location), nor was his writing style similar to what was posted here. I fully expect that he has moved forward in pursing his dream, as we had discussed, and I am eager to shake his hand when he sees personal achievement of that dream. With the writer’s stated claim of working 5 hours or less and an admission of stealing petty cash, in addition to using a non-existent title for this location, I suspect that this posting is less than honest. My hope would be that I would receive an email noting the concerns from any former employee, if this was even ever so. In any case, best regards, and a hope for a better situation for you. Cheers. Are you trying to keep others from finding the awesomeness that’s here? :) I know that it has been some time since you posted this note, but since that time this region has really risen in employee satisfaction. And similar to another post response above, I hope that you are seeing the other side of the change that has been occurring. To reiterate, the team in the Central Valley has been restructured providing for fresh leadership and provides some of the best employee responsiveness and feedback in our satisfaction survey. We have 100% answering neutral or positively to the statement “My supervisor, or someone at work, seems to care about me as a person.” …Not a single negative comment. The same for feeling encouraged in development at work. The same for having opportunities to learn and grow. The same for professional and ethical practices. This region has an internal NPS (net promoter score) of 42%, which is among the highest scores across any industry. To speak a bit to raises, our policy for the past several years is that raises occur annually for all of our hourly employees that do not receive corrective action (those written up for cause, which is a very small percentage of the population), and performance-based increases and promotions are a regular occurrence going through my office. Thank you for your comment on people-skills. Our interview process does focus on emotional intelligence, as we recognize this as a significant success factor in many companies, but especially in a service industry. Hiring right does change a culture, but so does training, and that is why leadership training does focus on improving employee interface. And I think you would agree that we are definitely trending up. :) Lastly, thank you for the comment on the awesomeness of the HR department (my team are superstars). My hope is that you would use some of that trust we have earned to give me a call and work through these issues. I believe that you would agree that HR has earned the recognition of facilitating positive results. Very Best Regards, Todd Scott Director of HR
