Pros

Originally, this company was very supportive. There were many layers of resources meant to make employees successful. After the purchase of the company by PE they have cut software, resources and staffing to increase profits. I would not say there are many advantages over other employers in the field today. The ability to work from home is a pro. Complexity of the software is a pro because the work isn't boring. There's always something to learn.

Cons

- no real path to advancement, Cornerstone used to promote from within, over the past several years the majority of hired have been external - management cares a lot about stats but doesn't care to educate employees on how to meet those expectations. Ex. If a employee gets a negative survey it isn't reviewed and strategies aren't shared for improvement. If an issue goes on longer than expected and it puts employees out of compliance with the resolution time standard, employees are told to fix it with no strategies for doing so. There is no analysis of issues. One caveat: my team has a new manager so there is a possibility that things will improve; however the directives come from the top down, so upper management still has a problematic philosophy.

Pros

The people by far were the reason I stayed at the company for so long. Working with people who helped be part of the solution rather than part of the problem was exciting and fun. Working to solve issues together and collaboratively supporting each other was a great way to drive cross functional collaboration and success,

Cons

Senior leadership is a constant turnover with consistent pivots in strategy and direction before there was time to test if something was working. WIth consistent reductions in force, teams have found it hard to stay motivated and unclear as to what the current strategy is. Decisions are made with little context or reasoning to the middle management layer which causes dissatisfaction across the frontline teams. Comp plans were often delayed, incorrectly paid and something we had to spend a ton of time figuring out if we were getting paid correctly or missing something.

Periods of transformation and growth can sometimes feel challenging, especially as teams, products, processes and business strategies evolve to keep pace with the market. We're focused on ceating more clarity, stronger communication, and better alignment across teams and have recently been holding internal sessions and conversations around product innovation, strategy, and company direction to help teams stay informed and connected during this period of change. We absolutely listen and adjust based on feedback, I appreciate you sharing your perspective. - Carina Cortez, Chief People Officer

Pros

Used to be a very good company with supportive colleagues. Provided decent pay as per market standards. Used to have a great work culture.

Cons

In 2021 before new CEO joined CSOD had an overall glassdoor rating of around 4.0 star and an approve of CEO of 85%. The overall rating today has dropped to 3.2 star and approve of CEO has dropped to 45%. The numbers speak for themselves. CEO and CDO turned company into a pool of mass layoffs. Same pattern seen every year. Company culture has kept deteriorating ever since new CEO joined in 2022. They have beencutting cost left and right. More and more benefits being taken away in the name of cost cutting. At first they took away internet re-imbursement, then they took away sabattical, then no more team outings. Senior Managers had to pay from their own pockets to maintain equality of budget among remote employees and employees working in office locations. This should have been approved and arranged by company leadership itself. Very poor leadership and terrible executive decisions. Heard this year there were no appraisals at all.
