Pros

This company and its leadership team genuinely care for their people. I’ve been here for many years and plan to continue to be. We work hard and we play hard, and those who don’t work out, or comment negatively, usually have an issue to address that’s bigger than Cornerstone can help with.

Cons

I would like to have salary bands implemented across all departments and locations.

Thank you for your five star review and for your many years of service. As part of our corporate culture we strive to provide a work/life balance for our employees. We know happy employees = happy customers. We will share your recommendation of salary bands with our HR department, as they go to great lengths to provide fair compensation to all, along with great employee benefits. We are all in this together as an ESOP (employee-owned) organization and we work as a team. Again, thank you for taking the time to post this review. We appreciate you!

Pros

None. None at all. Absolutely none.

Cons

Cornerstone Systems is a dreadful workplace. Don't think about ever voicing your opinion here. They have fired employees on sight for not falling in line with their beliefs and viewpoints on any and all issues. They won't let you talk about social inequality issues, personal boundaries for COVID-19 during a global pandemic, and oddly enough, you cannot even try to grow business on an account you've been personally assigned. Basically, you have to be a cog in the machine to survive here. Don't dare to be an individual, because you'll be filing for unemployment benefits. They blatantly ignore all COVID-19 prevention guidelines from local and federal government agencies. After 6 months of working from home, they forced all employees to attend a mandatory in-person meeting, which was NOT socially distanced, did NOT require masks/PPE to be worn, did NOT provide sanitization, did NOT check temperatures upon entry, and did NOT require a negative COVID-19 test result. They fired an employee for wearing PPE to this meeting, as a matter of fact. Management will not let you take time off even though you accrue paid time off. They'll tell you someone else is taking off, so pick another day. How do they expect their employees to care about their mental health? They don't care. They want work, work, work. Their compensation and benefits are well below industry average, so keep looking. Don't waste your time working for this company's greedy management. Don't buy into the ESOP, either. This company won't be around by the time you retire, leaving you emptyhanded.

As a recent recipient of the 2021 USA Top Workplace award from Energage LLC., we are proud to have been chosen from over 1,100 companies across 54 metro markets. Cornerstone strives to be a leader in transportation and logistics but places an equal importance on creating a working environment that supports and benefits our employees. This prestigious top workplace award is based solely on employee feedback about our culture, leadership and what it is like to work here which is why this particular award is so special to us. Overwhelmingly, Cornerstone employees stated they feel genuinely appreciated by Cornerstone, Cornerstone is going in the right direction, well-informed about important decisions at Cornerstone, and Cornerstone operates by strong values. Cornerstone employees cited flexibility, respect, and honesty as top culture descriptors. As always, the health and safety of our employees remains a top priority. All office locations follow local/state/federal guidelines regarding COVID procedures and protocols including, but not limited to, testing, cleaning, travel requirements, social distancing, wearing masks, etc. Cornerstone has clear policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety and fair treatment for all employees. While Cornerstone strongly disagrees with your comment, we are committed to providing our employees “a better place for people to work” and will therefore share your comments with management and staff to ensure our policies continue to be upheld and enforced.

This review has been left on our page in error. You listed yourself as a former employee in Production in Ambridge, PA. We do not have Production departments, and we do not have a location in Ambridge, PA. You titled your review "shut us down" but we have not shut down any of our locations. There are many companies that have the word "Cornerstone" in their name and you left this review on the wrong "Cornerstone" page. This review is not on our company.
