Pros
They give you equipment and the pocket guide. They allow some flexibility with your schedule and you work remotely.
Cons
This went from the best job I’ve ever had to the worst job I’ve ever had. They slashed all our benefits and altered pto structure. Production cdi start with only 2 weeks of time off a year. No additional sick days. If your assignment runs out of work and they can’t find you anything to do you might have to use your pto. Some clients have unreasonable work expectations and this may mean you will be working several hours over some days to meet your productivity. You may even jump around daily or work with clients in different time zones. While some of this is expected it’s difficult if your client wants you to work 11-7 eastern standard time and you have to to alter your availability without any notice. Very difficult if you have a family. Management is aware they pay thousands of dollars below market value so we are constantly losing good people to higher paying companies. You can easily make 20-30,000 more plus get better benefit package with almost any other consulting company. I’ve been optimistic things would get better, but to me it feels like they want to phase production cdi our altogether and go with a more AI driven approach. If you are really looking for a career change consider all others before here. Seriously, until they start to value their CDI you can really do better almost anywhere else.
