My Director of Operations at the time was the best boss I ever worked for. She provided me with opportunities to grow, trusted me in my role, and gave me the autonomy to make decisions. Additionally, I was compensated well at the time of my departure.

Cons

Beyond the growth opportunity I initially received, there were limited advancement options. Over time, the company shifted toward a centralized model, which made daily onsite operations feel more robotic. This change reduced my ability to fully utilize my skill set and turned much of the role into managing resident issues without strategic input.

Loved working with potential renters, meeting new people.

Cons

Hated the push of management to withhold details that would potentially make people not rent, like parking issues. Also only offered 20% discount for renting on property I worked at and expected to be on call. Basically felt like working for free once I had to pay rent.
