Changing Culture

Pros

- Base pay is good - Direct co-workers have always been great

Cons

So much is changing within the company and the lack of consistency between markets is huge. Its tough to help difficult residents because Corporate positioned managers are stretched so thin that they are willing to agree to whatever terms the resident demands even if it is not deserved or follows fair housing just so that they can "handle" the resident quickly. This makes the site teams feel useless and look incompetent, dishonest, and uncapable to the residents. Feels like the amount of support for the community teams is nearly non-existent anymore. There is also no accountability on managers at sites that struggle. The service team, for example, could have members that consistently get away with things like sleeping in their car, leaving work and clocking out an hour later, making empty promises to residents with no follow through, etc. and never get reprimanded or given a "coaching" so their behavior continues and the ones that actually do their job have to pick up that slack and become overworked and bitter towards management.
