Pros

You'll have a job and some ok health benefits.

Cons

The company will brag about records and breaking financial ceiling. Then reduce incentive, change the frequency, reduce pay range caps, reduce merit % and other smalls ways to reduce overall income. It's the one place where you earn less with more years you put in.

Pros

There are some great people working at there.

Cons

Top down heavy command and control leadership. They talk about LEAN but do not understand that LEAN is more about vertical leanness and not horizontal leanness because that might mean way less senior leadership roles. The company is way too top heavy and could use a serious senior leadership diet. They have over the past year had a few major RIF's getting rid of many people with over 10 years at the company which seemed very much as agism and when I was RIF'd I was told they are looking to bring in younger team members and the current team members are too old and expensive. Sounds like agism to me. This company is reactionary not innovative as they like to present themselves. It's sad since at one time this was a large company that had a family feel which has been lost over the past few years. Jusy met one of my former team member for dinner and they will only let them use co-pilot and no other AI dev tool live Cursor or Amazon Q which just shows they have no idea what they are doing and the are watching if the team members are using co-pilot or not. Talk about big brother. They will probably realize that the past year of RIF's were a stupid move and start hiring again but we'll see.
