Pros

They have excellent benefits, the hours are long, but less days worked. The company treats the employees well, but there are many loops to be jumped through.

Cons

If you don't know the right people in management, you will never move up. Was told when I was hired that we could move anywhere within the company. That was ten years ago.

Semi relaxed environment, when i was there the supervisors were nice and help out where they could. Free soda, popcorn.

Cons

The occurance system is not that effective and is a tad bit one sided. The shift bids can disrupt your schedule as they change every 6mo.

Cox is great, you make great money. You coworkers become family

Cons

The management is horrible. You never know anything until last minute or you mess up. Horrible forecasting for goals... Very strict attendance policy. Can be hard to make goals so months. (Only for retention) No other department wants to do there jobs. Retention fixes everything. Honesty retention needs a raise because we are billing, technical support, supervisors, everything. They expect us to consul every customer with a discount. We handle things beyond our job description but you are forced to give discount to keep yourself from losing money. You can save Cox millions of customers but they will fire you the moment you drop the ball.
