Pros

Benefits are great, MAJORITY of people you come across are very very very friendly, and will help you however whenever. Going from working at one company for 12 years to coming there, I ended up being way more comfortable than I thought I would be because everyone was so nice. Pay was better than what I expected.

Cons

Our trainer was great, but with the amount of people that were in the class, you didn't get a lot of time to ask as much as you wanted to. The training doesn't really prepare you for the REAL calls you are going to take. I took the job having a very very strong customer service background, and not much technical, and one thing to remember is customer service over the phone is WAY different than in person. Customers are more likely to talk to you like a dog even if youre being as nice as pie to them, because they don't have to look at you face to face .Something I wasn't expecting, when I genuinely wanted to help the customers. Customers can cuss you out, and they aren't going to do anything about it. Had lots of mandatory overtime which for some people can be great, but others with a life would think otherwise.

Pros

My co-workers made the job tolerable. It was a family oriented environment and we supported each other when it came to the job tasks and responsibilities.

Cons

The management is deplorable. Most of upper management didn't come from a media background so they don't know how to manage, they continue to hire incompetent managers instead of hiring some of the employees in house that know the business, and they don't take any of the employees requests into consideration. It was more of a sweat shop than a place of business. Very unprofessional work environment. No room for advancement. Mandatory overtime, but if you wanted to stay to finish your work on your own, they would make you leave to prevent from paying you overtime at your discretion. A modern day Hunger Games type of place to work. If you survived, you were able to work another day.

Pros

Company thrives due to constant rate increases, as can be noted by the recent purchase of over 100 Mercedes vans for us technicians (they removed the emblems to avoid public outrage.) Can be a great place to work if you find yourself in the "in" crowd and will receive promotions and avoid layoffs.

Cons

Human Resources and empoloyee relations department is discriminatory, retaliatory and vengeful. If you ever speak up about a problem they will make your life a living hell and sabotage your career. I have seen so many co-workers fired, laid off or harassed into quitting over pretty much nothing. You can think you have a career here, then one wrong move and they will ruin your life. They also launch products before they work correctly. For example the new Cox Home Security has a major flaw where the cameras are flawed and can be easily hacked so burglars, stalkers etc can access your cameras and watch/record you.
