Pros

Cox is reasonably flexible and has a fully invested pension fund. Cox has good overall benefits. Cox pays bonuses every February to most employees.

Cons

Cox is not fully supportive of tele-commuting. Budget is impacted severely by economy. Cox has very few opportunities for advancement and many people work past retirement age. There were many lay-offs last year.

Pros

Very good benefits package. Insurance, a 50% matching 401K, pension programs, etc. Good capital resources keeping facilities up to date with good equipment, computers, current software, etc.

Cons

Large network of employees nationwide, but all of them in (seemingly) competitive situations. Not a lot of helpful networking opportunities among employees in different divisions. Subsidiaries that are set up in small towns do not have the respect of other divisions higher up in the organizational structure.
