Pros

Salaried position and 8-5 (usually depending on the clinic). Everyone not in management (IS, clinicians, front desk) is wonderful to work with on a day-to-day basis! You get to work with cute babies babies Fairly thorough training The band really does work well!

Cons

- Money driven. I went through the change from the CEO Jeanne Pomatto-Hertz to the investment group. Not only were bonus programs and no raises given, patient centered treatment declined and management would come down on Clinicians for not recommending treatment if the clinician thought it unnecessary treatment (more recommendations = more money). They did not trust the judgment of their clinicians who had experience, unless they were managing clinicians (of which some had the same amount of experience as some of the "regular clinicians"). - Spent several years at this company and they have a "no reference" policy. So if you are looking to make lasting, work relationships, give this company a second thought. HR refused to make any comment to a new company whether I worked there or not. - Management is rough. Do not expect much from them. They are not very understanding and rely on their numbers. They contradict themselves consistently. There is no real way for management to improve upon themselves as HR does not pay attention to the company reviews unless someone literally cries, so you won't see much change. - It is true as you've read in the reviews, management is a clique. They'll all stick together. - It started as a fulfilling job (the orthotic is great if used properly), but gets worse and worse the longer you're there. The clinicians get pigeon holed and you do the same thing day after day. When management is not ever on your side, it's hard to be completely happy. - I've seen multiple people cry as well as quit.

Pros

The relationships you develop with your patients and their families. Intrinsically, it is rewarding to guide parents through the treatment process and see a positive result.

Cons

Corporate/management do NOT listen to or consider feedback/concerns from employees. I’ve observed very senior clinicians who have worked for the company many years with so much knowledge and experience being completely ignored when concerns are brought up. Very discouraging for a new-ish clinician like myself. Classic reactionary management style vs proactive strategies. Significant disconnect between what happens in the clinic setting and the corporate office. Results in stressful daily clinic life, burned out staff, low morale, and not allowing an environment to provide ideal patient care. It is a battle of you caring so deeply for your patients and wanting to provide the best treatment but then starting to not care anymore because you don’t have management supporting or appreciating your efforts. Basically, you can read a textbook about “How Not to Manage and Run a Company” and that will describe what happens here. Unfortunately, I’ve had friends ask me if they should apply for positions here and sadly I discourage them from doing it.

Pros

Exceptional training, generous compensation and benefits, very fair and smart business practices, opportunity to grow clinically in a very niche area, lots of mentorship and guidance, nice coworkers, you can see timely results- very gratifying

Cons

Fast paced! May be difficult and intimidating at first but the fact that it is fast paced makes time go by quicker! You need to be efficient with your time.
