Pros

Working at Cranial Technologies has been a great experience so far. The biggest plus for me is that I can say I work for a company and with coworkers who genuinely care for their patients needs and results. In the Baby Imaging Specialist role I am able work at the front desk and use my organizational/time management skills. I am also able to work one on one with the babies and families in the imaging room. I love getting to see all the babies and being able interact with them daily. It is a great experience to work with them and be a part of the progress that they make. The Baby Imaging Specialist position is a versatile position and I feel that everyday brings on new challenges that keep me interested in what I do. I also like the team structured environment that allows us to work together. While everyone at CT does not share the same background, the atmosphere let's each person learn from one another. The managers at Cranial Technologies recognize their employees strengths and helps its employees move in to positions where they can use and continue to grow those strengths. Over the years I have been able to take on new responsibilities and roles that allow me contribute to the company. Overall I am very happy with my experience working at Cranial Technologies. This is a growing company and I'm proud to be a part of an organization that holds true to its core values.

Cons

The hiring process does take longer than other positions I have had in the past. I do appreciate that you are able to see what the actual office is like before you are hired.

Ideal specialty practice area for OT/PT

Pros

I consider myself lucky to have found Cranial Technologies after relocating to the area nearly 2 years ago. I have been an Occupational Therapist for over 19 years, with most of my experience in the area of Pediatrics. This is definitely an area of specialty practice. I feel my background in peds helped, but the training I received on the job was priceless. Cranial Tech provides 2 weeks of intense training followed by supervised training once you are back in your home clinic. The Clinical Support that the company provides its clinicians is top notch. The Clinical Support team provides full time support via phone and technology for each clinic, nationwide. This ensures every clinician, no matter what their level of expertise, has the top level support on the clinical side. By far, the best part of my job is the babies and families I get to work with every day. Often times families come to me with a hundred questions, never hearing the word "plagiocephaly" before. I provide them with sound education and information, talk about their baby's head shape and make a valid recommendation. I make my recommendations to treat or not to treat based on the baby's head shape. Nothing else. I truly enjoy watching the baby grow and seeing the obvious change and progress from day one to graduation! As far as management, I have a wonderful manager that is in my clinic on a monthly basis. She is here to teach us, bring us new information and also to learn from us about what is happening in our clinic. She is available to me all the time and I know I can call her with any concern I may have. I find it very assuring knowing that level of management is available to me no matter what. On a day to day basis, our clinic has an Operations Administrator that handles the function of the clinic. This administrator is competent to handle everything on the non-clinical side and she is definitely my go-to person. I find the working environment here at Cranial Tech to be a positive one. Because it is filled with babies and their families, it tends to be upbeat and busy. The people I work with are here because they want to help families. The teamwork amazes me, and I am reminded how important it is that the team work together to ensure successful treatment for each baby. Cranial Tech encourages us to grow as clinicians. They are often providing continuing education via webinars, or communicating important clinical information as it is pertinent. I like that we are kept in the loop of the technology of the DOC band and the actual technology we use (it is amazing!).

Cons

The one con I can point out is that our HR department is small. At times, there can be a delay in receiving information back and forth.

Pros

My favorite part of working at Cranial Technologies is seeing our great outcomes! I truly feel that I have a positive impact on reshaping babies lives. Through my years with Cranial Tech I've enjoyed working with such great people who all have the same goal in mind-- provide great quality care. I enjoy coming to work each and everyday as we have a great team at our clinic. Everyone is willing to help each other out without hesitation. As a therapist, it is very rewarding to see such quick results with our patients. It is a happy environment working with babies all day long. It's also nice that we have Monday-Friday office hours and don't have to work evenings of weekends. I've had the opportunity to gain a good amount of growth in my career path as well.

Cons

Hard to call in sick as it is a niche area and there isn't PRN staff that can be called in to cover.
