Good company gone bad.

Pros

If you're not working in manufacturing, its a good place to learn many different skills. Because the company is so small and lean, you're often given projects that aren't necessarily in your job description.

Cons

Cranial Technologies was purchased by an investment group in early 2012. Since then, managements' main focus has been providing maximum financial return for the investment group, often at the cost of the employee. Since the purchase, management decided to not offer cost of living increases to employees (as was traditional, each year,) they have eliminated the bonus program, they even went as far as changing out bathroom tissue for a less expensive alternative. They've also slashed back on health benefits, putting more of the financial burden on the employee - even while the company is enjoying record revenues as each month passes by. Employees were denied cost of living adjustments and bonus plans, but at the same time, each individual in management received handsome bonus checks and salary increases. This has created a "management vs everybody else" mentality at the company. This mentality is having lasting effects. In just the last year, over 50% of the front office staff opted to find a new employer.

Pros

This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door to learn brand new skills. The atmosphere and training is amazingly well structured and organized. Everyday is different and you will be challenged in healthy productive ways by the work you do.

Cons

They expect "perfection" in a very short amount of time. Expressing an eagerness to learn new ways to improve your job performance and doing the job to the best of your ability can easily be convoluted into you not believing your competent. There is such a thing as over communicating. However, bottom line, if you're not a perfect fit for their cookie cutter culture they will add unnecessary pressure to set you up for failure.

Pros

Cranial Technologies is a small company so you have the opportunity to wear many different hats. You also have the opportunity to travel for coverage if you like to.

Cons

Over the last year and a half the company has taken away the company bonuses as well as choosing not to give raises. The benefits the company offers continue to get scaled back and employees are managed by fear.
