Management needs an overhaul

Pros

Company did a good job with training me for the job. Also, I believe the HR/benefits department was helpful and knowledgable. It was nice to see happy, healthy babies and to be a part of making those parents/families happy with their child's results.

Cons

Management questions everything you do but then asks people to come up with solutions to issues. It's counterproductive. Corporate needs more middle management- not just the top few that have been there 20 years. Stop micromanaging and start implementing more help for your overworked employees.

Pros

The company's work makes a difference. You can't be a part of changing a baby's head shape and not feel like you're doing something worthwhile. Every now and then, the company's management does things to make us feel like our work is appreciated, like sending us girl scout cookies around Christmas time.

Cons

Things are disorganized. We don't hear about changes until they've already happened. When someone leaves our clinic, it takes a long time to replace them assuming they get replaced at all.

Very unprofessional and unethical

Pros

The job is easy and mindless.

Cons

The company strongly encourages you to do unethical things such as recommending DOC bands to babies who don't need them. The company also lets orthotists treat torticollis when PTs/ OTs are busy. They tend to hire people with no pediatric experience that don't know right from wrong as far as how to ethically and professionally treat babies. The company and product, DOC band, as a whole is failing because of all the accurate current research that shows they are not effective. As a physical therapist, I wish I had done more research before joining this unethical company.
