Cons

You will spend the overwhelming majority of your time setting up and drafting plans just to watch top level people say no over and over, or water down your work to nothing then ask why nothing gets done.

Individual contributors are expected to contribute at a level above their current to compensate for obvious leadership gaps. Extraneous process impedes forward progress. The unclear incentive compensation remains a nagging question mark and is no longer acceptable when weighed against offers including higher base, bonuses, and stock.
