Pros

It beats being homeless. It is great place to learn exactly what NOT to do.

Cons

Dumpster Fire, Trainwreck, Cluster Truck...are all inadequate to describe the company.

Pros

HR pays for the first three reviews to appear good. HR will also post reviews themselves to keep review score high and bury low scores. Do you enjoy quarterly lay-offs that rotate across business units? Execu-doublespeak in the form of incompetent statements like "Flexible engineering with 1 week to 3 month agile sprints in an adaptive waterfall model?" Death March project timelines, a BD group that oversells to the point of causing talented new management to leave, and a place where you can be praised for poor leadership decisions that cause worker over stress and punished for caring about your employees? Then Cubic and it's subsidiaries is the right place for you! As an added bonus if you're in the engineering skillset you are treated as though you are a non-union manufacturing floopr worker of "engineering widgets" so get ready to crank yourself to death!

Cons

Bullying - Older employees will simply override you, in front of others in meetings. A narcissistic cesspool of old age thinking and setting up silos. Do not work here if you are not Boomer or embody 21st century business ideals and leadership. Death march projects with no budge on timeline, dollars, or scope. Culture of "yes" to everything needed to "win the customer" but no mindset of ensuring it is also a win for the company, over commitance to contracts without the staff to deliver. Overwork, poor benefits, low pay, management that wants change yet refuses to change and try new things, a culture that touts they do great things for HR marketing but internally does not embody what they say to the world. Sexism, racism, and ageism - in the form of young people don't know anything, and ideas will only be crushed or stolen.

Pros

Tremendous growth opportunities while I was there, fun projects, ability to learn a lot via stretch projects that were globally focused.

Cons

The lack of caring for individual employees is apparent throughout the executive team. Culture driven by executive leadership is toxic, severe focus on short term results for shareholders at expense of not only employees but long term ability for company to attract and retain talent. Take a look at overall Glassdoor rating and you will see attracting people is a challenge here. Exec leaders are heavily compensated, only small % of workforce eligible for stock grants and bonuses. The exec bonus packages combined with stock are extremely generous, leaving the pay disparity between execs and regular managers extremely wide. There have been too many canary in the coal mines to count at Cubic, the recent departure of Matt Cole is the nail in the coffin for Cubic's ability to attract any top talent.
