Pros

1. Company only hires a low % of who they interview, so you're truly working with amazing people who are dedicated and good at their jobs. 2. If you enjoyed using data to plan instruction/small groups/measure growth, as well as helping other teachers do the same, you'll enjoy being a PD specialist! 3. In the 2.5 years I've been with the company, I've actually seen them listen to feedback and make changes, both on the customer facing side as well as us employees. Pretty rare for a corporate setting.

Cons

1. In this specific role, you travel constantly. The operations team tells you where to go and you go there. You could be in one state on Monday, another state over on Tuesday (or for my Cali folks, Bakersfield on a Monday, Ukiah on a Tuesday).

Pros

CA has an amazing culture that has all but disappeared at most other companies. The leadership team listens and makes sure that we all feel heard and included.

Cons

The biggest con I’ve seen is the pay disparity in the sales role. The ADS (account development specialist) role is in fact an inside sales rep role on steroids. The ADS team is responsible for giving sales demonstrations, creating quotes, engaging the clients, new and existing and much, much more. However this team does not have a fair compensation plan. This team should have a commission plan that’s rooted on the sales they close. Instead the plan is convoluted and unclear. The base pay, plus the current commission structure leaves this team just barely above the poverty line, with no way to influence the commission payout. Everyone is struggling to make ends meet. It’s difficult to watch such a successful company continue to receive accolades for its accomplishments and the extraordinary ADS team members see so little of the monetary rewards. Many on the team rely on leftover team lunches just to provide dinner for their families. This is the hard reality of what this pay structure looks like.
