Pros

They aren't doing anything illegal (that I know of). Frequent happy hours and corporate parties, and occasional catering.

Cons

Their idea of job security is working you through so many hours of the day that you won't have time to look for a new job. You will be overworked and overpaid. Their legacy is that of gasslighting their employees. At one point they performed an income audit with the stated purpose of bringing employees up to competitive wage levels for their office area. After the audit was performed, however, employees were only selectively given raises based on merit (which is a distorted concept in the company) and even the lucky people to receive raises were still well-below industry average.

Absolute dumpster fire

Pros

Nothing is a pro about cvent

Cons

Terrible company from the top down. "Bleed Blue" is a code word for "we will overwork you and you will like it". They set up a combative work environment and reward loyalty over actual skill. This results in poor leadership and terrible management, and it starts with the CEO on down. Their "Secret Sauce" is just outsourced cheap labor from India. The CEO talks about it as if he discovered some amazing secret instead of being real about what the "Secret Sauce" really is in a way that's disrespectful to everyone's intelligence. They prey on kids right out of college with zero work experience to compare this dumpster fire to. They pay them terribly low and make them sign some BS contract to try and scare them into staying 2 years or face some monetary penalty. I've never seen anything like this before and haven't seen anything like it since, but they need to snake people like this because the turn-over rate is horrendous. Run away and don't look back, you WILL regret wasting time here.

Pros

Because Cvent is too cheap to hire employees with a qualified background, you get incredible exposure as a younger employee. The people you work with are awesome.

Cons

If you want to work for free... this is the place for you. You will get paid 0.014% on every deal you close. If you somehow manage to make any money (you have to hit 150%+ to see anything) they’ll find a way to take it back. New year and your quota sky rockets and you say to yourself “well at least I’ll make more money”... HA don’t kid yourself, Cvent will lower you commission rates drastically. If the company is doing bad, sales management will threaten everyone and tell them to quit if they are not willing to spend 12 hours/ day to hit their quota (but again remember, these sales reps will literally earn $1000) for hitting quota, so no incentive
