Toxic Management

Pros

Compensation, benefits, good building and amenities, friendly culture (at least on the surface)

Cons

Terrible management Too many micromanagers at senior levels whose bad behavior is toxic to their direct reports - lots of talking down, berating and fingerpointing. Sr leadership looks the other way while HR is totally incompetent! All the emphasis on corporate values appears hollow verbiage in light of the bad behavior at senior levels and the backstabbing No clear path for advancement - managers don't take interest in developing employees. Emphasis is on extracting work through fear.
