Pros
Being a part of D&M is truly the exact culture and everything in between I've been looking for and didn't even know actually existed. Sure everyone spews it because it sounds nice, but this is actually the real thing. There is support at EVERY level, and what they say they will do, they do. This company told me from the start, they value their people, and that has been the case time and time again since day one. Personally and from observation. This is not a revolving door sales type of culture, nor somewhere that encourages that "overwork culture" lifestyle you see so many people brag about. For so long, I thought that was normal, that the burnout was normal, that taking work home with me was ok, that answering emails and being called on days off or after work hours was acceptable every day. It's not. and it is not the case here, that never happens or is something you need to do. The concept is simple, when you appreciate, mentor, PAY, partner with your teams, and genuinely LISTEN to them, they will actually perform and then some! Crazy, I know. They do not sporadically hire just to have bodies. The recruitment process is fantastic and it's about gaining that talent with a CAREER mindset. When you come onboard, it's very clear to see why majority of individuals (lets take sales for example) have been here for 10 +, 15 + 20 + years. It isn't just talk or something to make sound great to get you interested. I've met with with so many that have had a larger work history than myself tell me why and how this became their long term career. Because they love what they do, they are paid well for it, can support their families, save money and beyond. They are not afraid to pay well. Not one bit. Pay plans do not change for one, and two I mean this in regards to changing in the way where 'cuts' need to be made to take money out of your pocket. It's actually the complete opposite. The growth is immense, not stopping and not going backwards. They will help you from the start to become successful and provide you with the tools you need to do so. Which takes me to the training. I have never seen such a great training process in place as I have here. From role plays, to one on ones to peer help, it's incredible. Remember this is NOT a dealership and the agents pride themselves with the ongoing relationships they have with their clients and the joy they get out of helping not only repeat clients, their families, friends etc. but new opportunities as well. So if this sounds "too good to be true" or that there's a "catch" I'm not including.. there isn't, or I wouldn't write this review. I come here everyday and actually enjoy what I do. The confidence and autonomy I have been given to be great and build a great team has been wonderful. I am respected, I genuinely enjoy who I work with, and who I work FOR. I say 'for' but truly it's WITH. I don't feel like I'm working away for a company that doesn't value what I do every single day. They will tell you that as well. So if you're reading this, and wondering what the 'cons' may be, the only one I have is that I didn't start here sooner.
Cons
Why and how did I not do this sooner?
