Pros

"Victors take responsibility when things go wrong, victims will always look for someone else to blame." In full disclosure, I am in no way a part of management, nor was I forced to write a positive review. Sounds ridiculous, I know, but not kidding. I share only my personal experience, and everyone's journey is different. Professional environment and spacious individual offices with views. Unlimited income potential.

Cons

Yes, as with every paying job on the planet, there will be challenges. Not everyone will adapt and rise to the occasion. The jobs that hold the greatest personal and financial rewards will always require the greatest effort.

Pros

After over 15 years on the retail (dealership) side of the auto industry, D&M was a breath of fresh air. This is a laid-back environment but with some structure - after all this is a professional business, not a college party. You are given clear and concise expectations, however I think most of us have higher (more aggressive) goals in mind. This is a company that provides any and all of the tools needed to meet and exceed your goals. That is all around - office supplies, training and training materials, management structure, to the use of the company reputation (which goes a long way!!) Your schedule allows for a great work/family balance and depending on you, your goals, and your ability to control your deal, is as close to bankers hours as you can get in this income bracket. Part of what made me have so much initial respect for this company is that the pay plan has never been "re-evaluated" because people were doing "too well". Work hard = get paid. On top of excellent compensation plan (yes, you have to work hard to make great money!) this company spends a large amount of money on employee contests and awards (like weekend trips to Las Vegas (last Sept.), nice dinners, fun group activities that include your family. Mostly, once you get on with D&M you won't leave (unless you just don't have what it takes). If you can't swim, being dropped in the ocean is stressful...... if you can't make deals happen, trying to work at D&M would be stressful!

Cons

This is not an easy company to get on with (some would say that's a "con", those of us that are here consider it a "pro". Don't just walk in off the street and expect to be shown your office....... Typically the interview process is long and a little stressful. (they are looking for CAREER minded people - not short term JOB seekers)
