Upstart feel with an established company

Pros

The company has a small, upstart feel but has already worked through some of the issues that come along with actually being new. You have the opportunity to work directly with clients that make a difference in our community. Employees are empowered to manage their day in a way that works best for them. Health benefits are really generous.

Cons

Since it's small, there aren't a ton of opportunities to be promoted yet. Sometimes there are long days, but that is the nature of working for a services organization. Compared to other HRIS products and professional services companies, it's really not bad.

Pros

DATIS is a fast-growing company that truly cares about its employees and the nonprofit industry that it serves. As an employee of nearly 3 years, I've been able to see the gradual and positive change the company has been making in processes of recruiting, onboarding, and specifically employee engagement. Upper management has recently surveyed employees to see what they care about in regards to company culture, benefits, and work experience and has implemented changes to its policies and improvements to the benefit package, such as student debt repayment and an FSA. DATIS employees know how to work hard, together, to improve our product and also make time to celebrate the big and small wins. If you're thinking about taking a position here or applying for one, my recommendation is to absolutely do so because the people are great to work with and the job is definitely fulfilling. Despite some of the unfair reviews, DATIS is overall a great company with great people.

Good location in downtown Tampa close to the city exit.

Cons

This company hires young individuals who do not know when they are being taken advantage of. No on the job training. The job duties and tasks that need completed are not clearly defined. They play favorites here. Does not hire permanent employees. When they are finished or the work is completed you will be let go. I have seen this happen to many of my coworkers and I keep wondering when it’s going to happen to me. Be careful which reviews on this website you believe, some things claimed are really the opposite. If you get offered a job here, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
