Pros

Nissa the Owner/President, they offer benefits, even though they’re pretty expensive in comparison to other places I’ve worked at before.

Cons

Where to even begin. I should have got out a long time ago, but I stuck it out hoping things would get better. The owner Nissa is really super nice, but honestly she’s the only good thing about this company really. Sure they have good benefits, that are expensive. They don’t have separate sick time and vacation time, they only offer PTO so they expect you to use you PTO for everything so you can forget going on any kind of vacation if heaven forbid you get sick or have a family emergency. You have to put in time off requests 30 days in advance which is ridiculous, I didn’t even have to give that much notice working retail. They require you to basically pressure homeowners into getting estimates and scheduling so many in a day/week/month and if you can’t convince enough people to sign up then you get fired. They promise bonus when you get hired but that’s even a joke anymore. It’s just a pushy cutthroat environment and every man for himself. People steal each others leads all the time, they don’t care about you or your family. All they care about is making money any way they can. They promise growth and being able to move up in the company but it’s just a favorites game and if you’re a person who stands up for what you believe in and what is right and try to make positive changes then you will be escorted out of there very quickly. You have no real voice in this company. You aren’t allowed to tell homeowners basically anything over the phone other than it’s a free estimate, you have to leave everything, I mean everything up to the “specialist” which is just a sales guy in a fancy suit coming to your house to sell you an overpriced roof/siding/bath/windows for 4+ hours and not taking no for an answer. I had so many homeowners calling in complaining about the work we had done, or not finished, months or even years after we had sold them their product. They record every little thing now, all of your calls and monitor them very closely, they see when you get up from your desk or anything. You literally have to ask to use the restroom like in gradeschool. If your phone calls last longer than 5 minutes you get talked to about not having control of the conversation. When I first started I recommended them to everyone I knew. I quickly started to regret that and now am almost embarrassed to say I ever worked here. All the positive reviews are a joke because they bribe employees to write reviews on here. I hope Nissa can figure out a way to turn things around because she is great, but the company is being ran into the ground and they are losing a lot of good people because management just doesn’t care about the little man anymore, all they see are dollar signs. Keep looking, don’t ever work here.

DaBella Response

Thank you for the feedback, and we are extremely sorry to hear that your time spent with DaBella was not the most positive. In regards to your concerns, our call center team is provided with a comprehensive training program that lasts a minimum of 1 week , as well as continuously daily group workshops to better enhance their skill set and dealing with objections. We also provide all employees with a significant amount of ramp up time before the employee performance metric system is set in place, which allows them to become familiar with the best practices to succeed in a performance based position. As far as our PTO policy, we do offer double the state mandated amount that is required by all employers. Lastly, we most certainly do not bribe any employees to leave positive reviews on any employer review site, or require employees to ask for permission to use the restroom under any circumstances.

Pros

Generally most people were friendly to be around

Cons

Too many to list. They sell cheap products for way too much and rip customers off. Terrible management they operate on a fear based system which I assume starts at the top and works its way down. High pressure on management so high pressure on salespeople and high pressure on customers. So the person who ends up losing in the end is the customer. Very poor quality of work on projects that were installed. They lie about pretty much everything. The numbers they produce, the income the sales reps make, the number of appointments they get. It's all just a show to make the owners money. Since I have left I have found that they had two former companies that went out of business that operated on the same model. Probably can't say the name or my review won't get posted but it starts with a P and ends with an enguin. Exact photo copy of that former company that can no longer do business because of shady stuff they did. Stay away from this company.

Pros

The money can be good. Products made in the US.

Cons

When you first start here, they feed you all the usual big corporate culture hype bs. Diverse! Great company to work for! Great benefits! It's all a lie. DaBella is fond of boosting their own reviews, so please take the time to look through them before deciding to work here. Their "culture" involves taking sales leads and making sales to people who, in my experience, are quite elderly, note entirely in control of their faculties and therefor are easily convinced to spend $10,000+ on a new shower for their $50,000 trailer/manufactured home. Then, once they have their deposit, they are extremely difficult to contact. I'll even cut it low and say 90% of the jobs I went on for DaBella, the customer was upset, frustrated, and I had to spend time trying to console them for something I did not do or had nothing to do with. Many of these customers have been waiting months for their installs, DaBella will tell them it's because of Covid, which i'm sure has some effect on it, but having been inside, probably 10-15% of their products are damaged on arrival, which means more waiting. If you go to training, expect a long hard day of spending an hour and a half watching poorly made YouTube videos. I have had to console many crying customers because they were so upset at DaBella and how they were treated. From materials provided at jobs, it seems the sales people are underquoting the jobs in order to make the sell and just letting the contractors deal with the lack of proper materials. Think long and hard if you are considering a job for DaBella, the pay can be good, but they abuse their contractors, ignore their customers once they have their money, they abuse the rating system on sites like this.
