Pros

They seen eager to help with career development. They have a lot of programs available for those wanted to further their education, including tuition reimbursement, and childcare programs.

Cons

The hours for clinical staff are not conducive for those with most families or those with young children. The start time is often very early in the morning and the hours can be very long.

Pros

For those that work in downtown Denver, they fully pay for the RTD Ecopass so you can ride the bus or light rail free of charge. Depending on who you work for, flexibility in working from home as needed. Benefits packages have improved since I first started; more benefit plans/options to choose from. They have a 401k plan as of a few years ago (after many years without one). They encourage and promote community service projects, team involvement, and taking advantage of continued learning and training sessions, mostly via WebEx.

Cons

If you're a hard-working, loyal teammate ("teammates" are employees in DaVita lingo), expect to get rewarded with lots of extra work. They're mediocre in terms of wages - their salary offerings are okay, but need improvement and they need to be way more competitive. They got rid of their profit-sharing program this year (though upper management still gets bonuses). DaVita has a revolving door problem and the salary issue is a big part of it, but burnout is probably the main reason. They have WAY too many parties, galas, retreats, and so forth. Almost every teammate I know wishes they would pare down or do away with some of these forced events and use that money to properly compensate their teammates. Their 401k plan is okay, but nothing great - $.50 matching for each dollar up to 6%. However, they're only doing the matching payouts after a calendar year has ended, rather than quarterly. They pride themselves on hiring the best and the brightest, but those same people exit after 2-3 years. For many teammates looking to advance, there is a lack of opportunities. For some teams, the leadership is really lacking, and the ones who would make great leaders end up leaving.

Pros

The company as a whole is great! Wonderful core values and lots of engagement! Not every department lives the core values unfortunately and the department in which I worked did not!

Cons

Poor leadership in credentialing. Lots of back biting, gossip, and the director fosters negative behavior among her team especially with her selected two or three which include a supervisor that lies and constantly causes conflict. Bullying and talking about her team in a derogatory manner behind closed doors with these individuals as well as telling her direct reports things about their peers they should not be allowed to hear. There have been 10 resignations in 2018 ALONE, three of which were BRAND NEW less than a year and one newly promoted supervisor left as well!!
