Darktrace Federal suffers from a severe lack of leadership integrity, transparency, and accountability. The current leadership team lacks federal sales experience, and it shows in every aspect of the business. There is no clear sales strategy or defined territory structure, leading to confusion and unethical practices. I have personally experienced my manager cherry-picking leads from the parent company that should have been assigned to me, then attempting to close them personally. Leadership enforces a “you eat what you kill” mentality but holds key meetings in your territory without including you—effectively blocking access to opportunities and commissions, even on deals you’ve actively developed.
On top of this, the sales compensation plan is by far the worst I’ve seen in the marketplace, making it nearly impossible for sales professionals to succeed. There is no consistency, accountability, or oversight. Leadership decisions are arbitrary, and no one is monitoring management’s actions, allowing dysfunction to persist unchecked. The absence of vision, culture, and ethical leadership continues to erode trust and morale within the company.
BEWARE of the current leadership team—the parent company is disconnected, enabling unethical behavior to thrive. For Darktrace Federal to improve, it must take a hard look at its sales leadership, implement real accountability, restructure its compensation plan, and establish ethical, transparent leadership that genuinely supports its employees.
