      Pros

      Good people to work with. Invested a lot in their facilities. Good opportunity to move around, try new jobs Pay and benefits were good

      Cons

      Its a more centralized company, so a lot of decision making comes from the top. A lot of business is still with GM, so as GM goes so does AAM.

      Lost touch with people that helped them grow

      Pros

      Compensation plan was good for executive level associates Benefits were good Company provided many training programs for the associates to grow personally and professionally.

      Cons

      Too many good old boys in higher management positions. New CEO is out of touch with work force. New CEO thinks shipping work out of the country is the best way to do business.

      I was overworked for less money

      Pros

      The best thing about working here was the insurance benefits which were grandfathered in by General Motors. If I hadn't worked previously for GM I would not have had such good benefits.

      Cons

      Management didn't know what they were doing.in summer we worked in extreme heat. In winter it was very cold in plant.
