We are glad to hear that you find the benefits, hours, and leasing staff to be positive aspects of your experience. We strive to provide competitive benefits and a great work environment for all employees to feel supported and valued.
Regarding your concerns about micromanagement, the manager is responsible for ensuring not only the safety and well-being of all the team members but also the workload. As a part of that responsibility, they do keep an eye on things and we are grateful that they are out front rolling up their sleeves!
Regarding low pay – we offer very competitive salaries for all positions. We are regularly reviewing our pay to ensure we are in line with the market and job responsibilities and will continue to do so, especially in this ever-changing economy. In response to your concern about personal errands being completed during company time – we expect our managers to run errands for the property, purchase supplies, or attend meetings. This may appear as though they are off property but it is at our direction.
Lastly, we appreciate your suggestion to pay employees enough for an apartment at our properties. We have numerous employees living in our communities and do offer a generous discount. However, we do understand that in some cases and with some individuals' budgets they may not be comfortable with choosing to live on-site, therefore we leave it as the individuals' team members' choice.
