Pros

* Pay was competitive. * I loved my co-workers, and to this day they are still my friends. * I had great supervisors in my department. * I was able to take time off when sick.* Gave me a job during the bad economy.

Cons

* Laid off, after 4 years, no one went over severance package with me, escorted me out of the building immediately. After signing severance package would not rehire me, even thought i was a loyal employee with a good record. Decisions were made on making profits, not what was best for students.

Pros

I'm currently having a hard time thinking of pros beyond the students that I met and the relationships I formed with them. Oh and there's a lot of free food..

Cons

For profit university with no care about the students, the education, or their employees. No work life balance, constant changes in staff, expectations, and rules. Hours of dials and sales, not helping people. The value of the education doesn't match the cost that students pay. Employees live in fear of lay-offs and management's mood swings. No upward mobility even though it is promised.

Pros

Good work-life balance. Good benefits, especially if you are looking to go to school. After 6 months of employment DeVry will cover 100% of your tuition and 90% of a dependents tuition.

Cons

Very redundant work. Management tries to run the business as if it were a commission paying position which wouldn't be bad if it were a commission position but it is not. There is no incentive, but all of the pressure to perform. Many of the managers have very poor management skills, and since they are younger with no prior management experience, they tend to micro-manage, and do not know how to truly motivate their staff.
