      Pros

      Excellent chance for advancement. Variety of career fields one can enter into. Further training and educational opportunities are easily available.

      Cons

      Can be difficult to navigate the typical government bureaucracy. Travel (continental and overseas) can happen at any given time. Given the standard government rules, work hours can be a little inflexible.

      Pros

      Time off for traveling Europe is a definite plus. Other than that good luck finding something good to say besides getting COLA (most of us).

      Cons

      Old technology and definitely not on the cutting edge. Ideas not heard or respected from the field. True administration of systems done from multiple time zones away

      Pros

      Tremendous subject matter expertise at DISA. Lots of programs available to take care of their employees: gym, flexible schedule, telecommuting, etc.

      Cons

      Disorganized chaos. DISA tries to do too much with too little and are spread a bit thin. Field operations lack support. Lots of vested personnel are difficult to get a hold of or take ownership and work an issue with determination.
