Pros
You will be given a lot of opportunities to learn, it’s like having two full time jobs. You’ll come out the other side tired but over qualified for so many other companies if you put work into it at Deloitte.
Cons
There are multiple pay disparities- don’t think having a masters or prior experience or a second language will get you anything but more work. When you try to find answers and get rewarded fairly and equally they’ll tell you whatever is easiest to make you stop- even if it counters their written policy. You’re only promoted at year end so most people do the promoted work for 8+ months before earning the pay or official title. They hire a too many analysts so many end up without clients for months- even the ones they’re paying more because for some reason that (same) analyst role deserves it. There is LITTLE opportunity to move areas. They say you have flexibility and can do different work in different areas but unless you want to send 10 emails a day every day for 8 months, you aren’t going anywhere- and even the two people I know who were moved, neither went where they’d been trying.
