Everyone in Senior Leadership is delusional. They have no idea what is going on and make ridiculous promises to everyone about what can be don without involving the people that actually do the work.

Copying this word for word from another reviewer as this nails it from my experience as well: Cons Salary for highly skilled workers is laughably low. No remote work option even though central office work can almost always be done remotely. Worst of all some of the central office veterans are poisonous, toxic people who stay because they can't imagine something different for themselves. There are some great people even on the toxic team I was part of, but hard to see how it would be worth it to work with personality disorders on full blast every day. My advice: if you find that your new DPS central office colleagues are contemptuous of everyone around them, disdainful of others' skills and commitment to the work, and are convinced that they know better than anyone what is needed ("for the kids") despite having no pedagogical training or experience as classroom teachers - you're not going to want to stick around for long. Will only add that job description sold to me during the interview process was a complete misrepresentation of the actual job...a complete lie.
