Pros

Lots of wins! The organization is very informal and nimble, with not much bureaucracy, which makes it a great place to grow for younger folks. Leadership is serious about growing and disseminating Dexis culture through fun potlucks, happy hours, kickball, and an awesome holiday party.

Cons

Internal communications - would be good to relay clear messages before, during, and after organizational changes. Training and mentorship is also a big area for growth - besides 'on-the-job' and the tuition assistance grant, Dexis has yet to answer the big question of: "What does a career at Dexis look like for 5 years, 10 years, etc."

Pros

Some good, honest, and well intentioned folks at Dexis. So much work that days fly by quickly.

Cons

Gossipy office. Everyone knows everything about everyone, especially when it comes to who is not liked. No decorum in the workplace and management does not set a good example for rest of staff in terms of how to treat staff with respect and proper communication in the office. Management can be very disrespectful and most decisions do not seem to be thought through. There is no coordination, at all, between departments and between management. Everyone has their own set of ideas, work plan, and initiatives and with little regard to other staff. Management probably has the worst communication skills, especially toward lower ranking staff. There are clear favorites in the company. It is very obvious. It is a very young and immature work place and the current office setup does not help the situation. Benefits are not great compared to the competitors. For the low pay and long hours, you would expect more incentives.

Dexis management realizes that with all of our spectacular growth, some of our best intentions have not always been communicated clearly. Dexis is a fast paced, vibrant company with change happening rapidly. We want to make sure all staff realize where we are going and how we plan to get there….... and without them, we are just a name - not a company. To that end, we are hiring two new staff to help us navigate our continued growth and better meet employee expectations. We are hiring a communications manager and work daily to communicate more clearly with our teams. We are also hiring a Vice President of Talent Management to help ensure a unique, challenging, and rewarding environment for everyone. We want the world to look at our culture and say “How did they do that?” The new VP will lead Dexis Academy - management training available to everyone in the company in support of career growth. Other actions we are taking: refining our organizational structure to address issues with lines of communication, and taking the “temperature” of staff through the monthly Thermometer survey in which employees rate their job satisfaction. Senior management is exploring ways to complement the Thermometer with regular listening sessions (your ideas are welcome!). All comments, whether positive or challenging, are taken into account and every attempt is made to correct a situation when it is needed. Finally, we are planning for more formalized training for our managers to strengthen our collective and individual skills in communications, conflict resolution, performance management and coaching. We take every response on Glassdoor seriously. Thank you for your input as this helps us do a better job in working towards our goal: 100% in three areas - client satisfaction, employee happiness, and financial success.

Pros

I've met some great people who I've learned a lot from. Some in management (FACTS, new business) seem to care about employees and try to keep things positive.

Cons

My job is safe but it's discouraging to see other people fear for their jobs and be unhappy. It makes you wonder who's next. Management (MIS, CEO) can be overheard plotting against others and it creates an environement of distrust. If you are in the FACTS division you won't really be valued here. Dexis is great so long as you are an Associate or in BD.

I’m going through reviews from over a year ago to see if we indeed followed the suggestions made. Did we? I know so much has changed with the FAC department that an updated review would be helpful. Thanks in advance for providing any updated feedback.
