Pros

Strong social culture among engineers leads a pleasurable workday on the most part. There are some good managers. Good benefits.

Cons

No clear direction or vision seems to be in place. Very poor communication and inefficient management. There is also a power vacuum that has led to many of the issues above. Cronyism is unfortunately well established. There are more employees than there is work to be done. Quite a lot of idol time and limited opportunities for growth and improvement.

Pros

Team culture, communication. My team had worked in Digicert for more than 2y. We got a notice about firing in 1 month. They had decide to fire out a team of experienced engineers and replace with cheaper team from South Africa that writes low-quality code. My team members (developers, Product owner, PMs, Q&A) were awesome people with whom I worked closely.

Cons

Fired for unknown reason, I guess they want only to pay less salaries rather than keep top quality engineers. The sad is the company top-management which only counts where to hire cheaper people even at the cost of quality

Pros

A huge installed base to upsell and cross sell. A lot of white space. A seasoned leadership team who is dedicated to the company, who leads by example, works hard and welcomes innovation. Transformation comes with its usual pains, but it is also exciting, and it givers opportunities for new functions' collaboration and the excitement to create something new. A new CEO joined few months back, and he has brought in a high growth mindset, the energy of a start up, and a high level of transparency. Veteran employees have great core values, and they welcome the new hires, despite change is never easy.

Cons

This is a though time for the industry. Those days are gone, and to sustain the growth and the objectives to be the leader in Digital Trust, change is needed. If you are looking for a boring job, DigiCert is not the right place. The systems and the outputs of the transformation still need a lot of work, and this can be frustrating at times.
