Pros

Insanely smart group of co-workers, Great place to grow/learn essentially everything about digital marketing, Good work is acknowledged and rewarded, Each team member has the same hustle mindset

Cons

Sometimes you can feel like an island because you're in charge of your own clients-- but it's self-induced (it's easier and encouraged to reach out if you're stuck on a project).

BEWARE - TOXIC

Pros

Cool office space, constant supply of snacks and soda, regularly bought company lunches and cool coworkers.

Cons

Digital Strike's environment and leadership nearly ruined my taste for marketing. While I was there half the staff was fired because they didn't measure up to Chris' unrealistic expectations. - You needed to be perfect, but he wouldn't tell you what his version of perfection was. - You needed to be proactive, but ask him before starting anything to make sure it was worth his time. - Own your clients, but wouldn't let you handle yourself in meetings without supervision. - He wanted to do discuss your weaknesses but would throw it in your face at a later date. He is a manipulator and is a very inappropriate person. He openly talked about other employee's shortcomings behind their back and openly talked about frustrations with clients in the way of name-calling and slander. He would also refer to a few of the women in the office as honey or sweetie, which was inappropriate and unprofessional. His way of motivation is to tear you down to believe you know nothing and are nothing, insult your intelligence, make you question your sanity all so he could build you back up in his image. He values your different perspective when you are hired, but doesn't want you to act on it when you are employed. Typically, when something bad happens at a company with HR, a person could safely talk to HR without fear of punishment. This was nonexistent at DS. It was a toxic environment through and through.

Pros

Cool office, some great coworkers

Cons

This is a toxic environment. Very few benefits. I've worked for some terrible places before, but this one takes the cake -- the owner does not listen to his employees or take in new ideas. When they are experts on a topic that he has little experience in, he does not listen to them. I've watched as he's created office conflict by telling employees how good or bad another team member is. It's a high-stress environment, and while it pays well, no amount of money is worth it.
