Great place to work! Actually care about personal development
Pros
+ We have an above average % of people who are incredibly mission driven, and not just here for the "perks" or the resume. It creates an awesome culture of wide-spread ownership and really creative thinking + small teams so lots of room to develop and own more scope + work on some of the most interesting problems related to engagement, communities online, and bringing people together around activities at scale. And of course comes with a number of fun, gnarly technical/operational problems to work on. + really really care about growing people from within and spend a lot of time training managers on how to support team members with excellence.
Cons
+ our culture of celebrates ownership but requires that people do a good job raising their hand to ask for help and self-managing if they need support. Fortunately, our managers and exec team have their head in the right place around supporting employees, growing people in line with their interests, and being responsive to pushback (it's what allows our culture of extreme ownership to thrive), but could be challenging for somebody still working on developing their own compass on what work can be done and what *should* be done. + Fast growing company, so comes with the natural growing pains of having to react quickly and change tack efficiently (team organization, strategy, etc.). This might even be a "pro" for some people, but it's not for everyone, so worth mentioning.
