Could work here for a long time (if you would want to). No layoffs.

Cons

As the title says. Historically known to pay very poorly. Very little room to advance. Very micro managed philosophy. Poor management.

Pros

Some of the employees and regular customers are very friendly and welcoming and make you feel like family you build a lot of relationships that you'll take with you after leaving the company

Cons

It is very stressful upon hiring they tell you, you can not get fired if you don't make your goals which is not true they constantly get on you to meet your goals like the much bigger banks but they don't want to pay bonuses or incentives then if you do meet your goal they're still not satisfied, management plays favorites a lot and the gossip is worse than high school staff is overworked and underpaid and not appreciated the company cares more about money than its own employees great bank to use as a stepping stone to other banks but not somewhere to stay

they offer reasonable training. if you are starting in the banking world it is not a bad place to go. they train from the ground up. so if you have any banking background it will be a bit annoying.

Cons

never enough of a staff in any of the branches. cleveland vp's seems to be oblivious and live in a fantasy world that all you need to do is ask and people will come running to you with loans, checking accounts, and new money. computer systems are ancient and cumbersome to use.
