      Nice entry level job but pay isn't competitive for the industry and lack of staffing

      Pros

      Great coworkers and excellent training. It's an entry level career job to learn the basics of banking and finance.

      Cons

      Dollar Bank is not the place it used to be, which is proven by the high turnover rate and severely understaffed branches. The low pay is not worth the stress of working with no staff, dealing with back-office employees that treat branch employees very poorly, and an overwhelming workload. Branch administration is not offering the support to struggling teams when they are running a branch with 2 or 3 people. They tell you to "keep doing what you're doing" in order to get promoted. Dollar has become quite sales-driven and is losing the small family feel that it once had. The technology is outdated and needs improvement.

      Pros

      Upper management really cares about you and your team both personally and professionally. Ive had several professional jobs in this industry and this is the first place I can honestly say I can see myself retiring from. Everyone in upper management is always there to help you and your career grow at Dollar Bank. Kim is the best regional you can ever ask for, truely a blessing to work for her.

      Nothing to complain about, its a great employer to work for.
