Pros

I don't know any pros about the company. I guess I could say they had a holiday party and that was a great idea.

Cons

This was my first job out of college and it lasted 9 days. I don't think anyone can fully learn a system in 9 days, but I was let go due to "Not learning the system fast enough." Seems like an excuse to me, because when I was here I was given other duties (not associated with my job) to complete while I was supposed to be learning the application. I would be naive to say I didn't know what was going on. They were behind on work, brought me in to complete that work, and once I was done they didn't need me anymore. I don't think anything else could explain why I was brought into the HR office right after I completed the "side" tasks and was finally ready to start learning my help desk roles. Also, they let me go the week of Christmas...happy holidays! I do have to say that getting let go was a blessing. I was able to find a job paying a lot more money than they were paying.

At DrFirst we do look for ways to demonstrate our appreciation for the hard work and effort of our employees. We invest in our leadership team each quarter to help them grow, and weekly with management mentorship. We do realize that DrFirst is not the right fit for everyone, which is why we have begun putting a much greater focus on identifying whether potential candidates are not only highly qualified, but also a good cultural fit. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

Very Unorganized

Pros

It is fairly casual, in dress and work hours. Choose the shift you want to work and keep those hours. Time off is 18 day per year that includes sick and vacation.

Cons

This place is VERY unorganized. It changes direction constantly. Don't expect a raise your not going to see it. I didn't get a review for a year and a half. They tell you 90 days but I have never seen anyone get a review with an increase in 90 days. Moving to another department is rare and will take at least 2 months to find out if you got the job.

DrFirst is the kind of place that gives all employees the opportunity to grow, transform, and innovate. Those who are willing to invest into the company find that there are limitless ways to contribute and feel empowered to make an impact. Having a positive attitude and a desire to identify solutions is a core part of being successful here. Our culture emphasizes the desire to be better today than yesterday, and turn over the rocks to examine areas we can improve. We also believe that innovation requires us to be flexible and able to maneuver quickly. Most of our staff enjoy being challenged each day to stretch to their full potential. If you have some specific input, we welcome the opportunity to chat about it. Please feel free at any time to talk to our HR team, or the head of Corp Comm. We certainly believe that perception is reality, so we hope to find a way to help you connect with our culture.
