Pros

Company has High safety standards. There exist a strong workforce below management at the"deck plate" level. Location of work and limited travel have kept me with this company.

Cons

Management has no vision for improvement. There is little innovation and when efficiency gains are suggested, they are ignored. The nuclear side of this company is very resistant to change.

Lower level people are great to work with. Always busy.

Cons

Upper management does what they want with no respect for the worker bees and does it behind their backs. Large turnover.

I worked 12 hour shifts which gave me a lot of free time. I was fortunate to have a great supervisor!

Cons

The job was very stressful in its self but then they started rotating our schedules working days, nights and weekends. Many employees had to quit or find a new job in Duke. Upper management (VP and above) showed a lack of concern many times in the decisions they made which affected not just us regular employees but supervisors and managers who were constantly forced to try and do MORE with LESS!! ... and that always affects customers in and outside the company!
