Pros

Working with the clients is what made work so much easier to come to everyday. There was never a dull moment with the clients. They all have there own uniqueness.

Cons

Getting hired was the easy part. Working my first day was terrible. The staff did not train at all. They were to busy with their phones and yelling at the clients. Very very poor management. Management is only worried about filling the shifts rather than the employees they had. Never gave any compliments on job performance. Never recognized for stepping up. When employees would report something they saw, nothing was done. It's very sad place to see so much wrong and nothing being done.

Pros

I am only working here because of how perfectly the in-home Life Skills Trainer position fits my personality and meets my needs. I love being trained thoroughly on how to do something and told the goals, and then being let lose with minimal input from others to get the job done correctly. It leads to some really personalized and creative problem solving with me and the kids I support. The in-home team is growing fast, helping more families all the time. So there are plenty of shifts all over town with flexible scheduling, which is perfect for a student like me who can only work nights and weekends.

Cons

The management staff seem a little stressed out, just because of growing pains. Also, plenty of naive and flakey people sign up for this job because they think it sounds so altruistic and adorable on paper but in reality involves a lot of hard work, so they quit suddenly and stress out families and stress out management staff.
