You are absolutely correct, that you cant get rich doing this line of work. With our mission and values apply to every person we serve, including those with significant behavioral, medical and physical challenges; we get paid very little to do what we do. Being supported by the waiver system and Medicaid/Medicare most social services company's rely on hiring staff that is passionate about making an impact and changing someones life which is what we can offer where other companies in different industries can offer higher pay. What we can offer unlike other companies is free food while working, and the ability to attend activities/events for free! If there is something you like doing, suggest it to your person served and have fun doing that! Each home and each person served has different needs so never forget you can transfer into other homes that pay more or have different needs requirements. Please note at the 1 year mark we do offer an increase in pay, as well as we also offer benefits which some competitors don't. P.S.
