Pros

They will insist that traveling and company events are special perks and at first they seem like it. You have no freedom while traveling and once you’re on trips it’s no longer a “perk,” but suddenly a “privilege.” They do have the most flexible sick time policy, and the building is nice.

Cons

High school environment and attitude, all the way up to senior management. Managers that are absolutely unfit to manage others and behave in inappropriate, toxic and borderline abusive behavior. Managers Skyping with one employee about another teammate while you’re all sitting in the same pod is one small example. Pay is terrible and even if you do hit goals and benchmarks, your bonuses are contingent on technicalities that are often beyond your control. Insist on a culture of authenticity and sincerity while the meanest people you meet are promoted. Hire right out of college so employees don’t know better and are too young to speak up about illegal overtime and other exploitative behavior. ALWAYS being sued by former employees. Money matters more than anything else.

Pros

Travel is great, but pay is abismal. It’s a fun environment but keep in mind that plenty of other companies have fun environments at this day and age.

Cons

Pay is a joke. And you’re made to feel like a worthless robot. They will specifically tell you they don’t care to invest in you until you’ve worked for them for after 5 years

Pros

The building is beautiful and they like to offer some interesting amenities that are cool... sometimes. You get to travel.

Cons

Honestly... one of the worst employment experiences I have ever had. I had been courted by EF for a year and a half when I finally decided to interview for a sales role and was very excited to start. The grueling sales "incubator" they put you through should be categorized as a form of torture. The woman, who ran the training was one of the nastiest and fakest people I have ever encountered. After a grueling month-long training, I was let go for absolutely no reason (even though I had the most sales experience out of the group), I still don't have one. Needless to say, it seemed a certain individual had it out for me and decided to take matters into their own hands. I have never been treated with such disrespect before. It was an utter disaster of an employment experience and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Also, super clique-y environment and the pay is TERRIBLE.

Difficult as this was to read, I appreciate your providing this feedback. The Sales Incubator is an intense and intensive sales training program that all new members of our Entrepreneurial Sales Development program participate in. Graduates of the incubator hit the ground running with a well-defined consultative approach to sales, deep product knowledge, and an international professional network that will continue to grow. It is an incredible professional development opportunity -- one that many of our sales people say serves as a foundation for their careers. I'm sorry that you had the experience you describe and would be eager to learn more. Please reach out if you'd like to discuss further. --Mike Kaufman, Senior Director of People Operations
