Pros

Great for what it is - a wonderful first job for someone not quite ready to leave college. Fun environment and, if you are on the right team, a lot of independence and autonomy over your own sales territory.

Cons

At a point, you grow out of being paid with perks and want a higher salary. Terrible management decisions with many highly unqualified people in management roles. Very high turnover. Once you get past having a ton of fun your first year and are looking for a truly professional company, you will likely leave.

Online teaching

Pros

The majority of the students are serious and work hard in class. The classes are generally a positive experience for both teacher and student. Th platform works well, although individual students do have regional internet issues.

Cons

Students randomly select classes and hence the other students attending, so language levels and interests are often unequal. Teachers can only open availabilities and have no control over group, or private, or booked lessons. In other words, you cannot determine how many hours you work every week. So the income is very incremental and not dependable. Pay is very low for any experienced teacher. There is no human support or even a contact to call. Everything goes through the central portal to a random person for a reply.

A Poor Career Choice

Pros

The health insurance is good.

Cons

Horrible pay, no room for career advancement, greedy company. The only perk is the free travel, but be prepared that it is with stinky middle and high school children. Would much rather make an actual paycheck and travel on my own than go on EF's dime. Steer clear of this company, it's cult-like.
