      Tolerated poor pay and terrible growth prospects

      Pros

      If you have an attitude of learning, you can learn lots of new stuff here. It might sometimes be handy in another job

      Cons

      I learned to tolerate many things here. They offered me ridiculously low pay, and I agreed to be paid so awfully in the hopes that it would increase one day. Sadly, it didn't. The day I realized that my growth prospects were horrible, too. I devcided to avoid staying here long-term. They have the worst career grwoth opportunities. Be warned!

      We're, of course, saddened to hear this! We wish we understood which location and functional area this employee came from so that we could review in greater detail. We certainly make concerted efforts to maintain an understanding of what the market demands in terms of pay for each role within the organization. Additionally, the vast majority of our leaders have been developed and promoted from within. We offer training in sales, service and applications roles.

      Pros

      At Ellison there are knowledgeable and approachable coworkers and supervisors that are always willing to help. I have had a great transition here at the company and can't say enough good things.

      Cons

      Expect to travel often. Have a decent line of credit and/or lucrative funds, everything is reimbursed but you pay expenses (i.e. meals, car maintenance, etc.) initially.
