Your Life Means Nothing to EMSL

Pros

There are opportunities for advancement to numerous empty titles, as long as you sign away your soul with a contract.

Cons

The company will nickle and dime you any way they can, and treat you like they're doing you a favor by giving you a job, totally ignoring the benefits that your skills and work ethic bring to the company. They will be cryptic and critical, and terminate you without warning, leaving you stranded in a city that they relocated you to... and they will then take out the cost of your move from your last paycheck.

Pros

-Vacation time accrues quickly -Somehow the bozos who run this company manage to hire decent analysts so you might have some good coworkers (for a few months, anyway)

Cons

WHERE DO I BEGIN? -Good luck ever using that vacation time when you WANT to -Employee retention is abysmal -Corporate is out of touch with branch labs and totally disinterested in solving problems -Workload is inconsistent - expect to be slammed for weeks on end and then when you finally have a single slow week, management FREAKS OUT -Big talk about adherence to strict QA/QC guidelines but in reality the only thing that matters is how much work you put out. Quality over quantity. -Pay is a complete joke. Sure, you can work a billion hours of overtime and make halfway decent money, but say goodbye to the rest of your life as you work like you're in a sweatshop -Benefits are a total scam and will cost you like 1/3 of your yearly earnings. EMSL contributes NOTHING to insurance premiums. -No real opportunities for advancement. This place is all about favoritism and nepotism. You will not be recognized or rewarded for the quality of your work but rather whether or not someone higher up likes you.

Pros

Coworkers, and that's about it, company is run horribly, high amount of people quit within a couple months. Company tried pressing charges on employees for clogged toilets when it was bad plumbing that they wanted to blame on there workers so they wouldn't have to pay.

Cons

Low pay, lack of management, the owner is crazy and sends emails about fig trees and zombie fruit that has nothing to do with actual work. People smear feces on the walls of the bathroom. This place is horrible, they don't care about worker safety or compensation for employees. Owner says he contributes to 401k but never matches anything you put in.
