Thank you for sharing this feedback. While we are proud of the strides we’ve made in remote work and collaboration, we understand that there’s space to improve to ensure that all EZ Texters have a consistent (and positive) employee experience. We’ve clearly missed the mark and, as a leader at EZ Texting, I take that feedback seriously. I welcome your thoughts and would love to partner with you directly in ensuring you play an active role in shaping your experience and our company culture- I’d love to connect (rcochran@eztexting.com). While these changes may not happen overnight, EZ Texting leadership is committed to moving the needle and improving your experience moving forward. Rachel Cochran VP, People

Pros

Pros? Front row seats in learning what NOT to do as a company leader.

Cons

Cons? You probably read about the recent layoffs so no point highlighting that screwup as there are dozens of others to mention. I'll keep the list down to the top 2 reasons this company is failing. While the company's failure started the moment it formed with the junior team of founders that have zero experience being leaders but recently accelerated their death spiral further with the hiring of the most recent CEO (4th one now?). He has zero ability to lead, learn, nor inspire the organization. The second biggest cause of failure for this company is the the CTO who is vastly under qualified and is only in his position as he was one of the original cofounders. He should've stepped down a LONG time ago and let someone competent take over.

Pros

The catered lunch once a week, pets ok at the office, snacks on Fridays. That's about it.

Cons

This should be a warning to prospective employers and to any bank or VC firm interested in investing in this company. Upper management are all woefully inadequate and under qualified to be in the position that they're in. The founders have had ZERO prior management experience and it painfully shows in their lack of leadership skills. Our engineering department head, the CTO, has zero experience leading engineering and Google search his way to trying to model the org based on other companies without understanding anything about engineering structures, limitations, or the differences in businesses that he tries to compare us to. He's completely clueless. The new CEO, if you do your research and look him up on Linkedin, you'll see he also has never been a C-level before nor run a business. The other review that points out the nitpicking is so true and it comes from the top. The CEO is obsessed about how our desks look rather than figuring out how to save this miserable sinking ship. He should really never step foot in a tech organization. I seriously doubt the validity of his work history given the lack of fundamental tech skills he has. You feel sorry for the rest of the C-level execs, especially the new hires. It'll be a full time babysitting job to please the CEO's odd requests. For the rest of us, we're just here to pretend to work hard while we look for other jobs.
