Cons

Managers are of a different technical background then the people doing the work (which is often normal) yet managers because they are managers feel obligated to micromanage how the work is completed despite adding no value in stead of simply directing what work is needed.

Eastman has a lot to offer, with training, opportunities for growth, diversity, and core values provide a good work environment for everyone.

Cons

Eastman has a tendency to ask a lot of their employees. This is a multiple year opinion, not talking about just the last year. Also, the non-confrontational culture creates a change management issue.

Cons

Benefit package has went downhill for years but will be awful in 2015. Insurance will be ridiculous.
