      Too many chiefs.

      Pros

      Working for kids and families is incredibly rewarding. The purpose of the organization is good but just because it's we believe in the mission doesn't mean you need to abuse employees.

      Cons

      Have you seen the pay? The CEO makes more than most for profit companies. And the bottom staff? The ones that can't get overtime but work round the clock and always on call? We can barely eat. And they say we are data driven but everyone makes up the data so we don't get yelled at. Red measures mean everyone gets yelled at. It's not about the kids it's about green measures and more business.

      Ability to work with at-risk youth and train employees in fundamentally sound counseling practices

      Cons

      Upper Management only concerned with finances/numbers and will make decisions that are not in the best interest of their employees and clients just to maintain a successful bottom line.

      Falls Short of Their Lofty Goals

      Pros

      Pay is decent and the benefits are better than other companies I've worked for. PTO is generous, but they don't pay it out if you leave before your 3rd anniversary.

      Cons

      Eckerd talks about work-life balance, integrity and respect for all co-workers, but you don't really see it there. Also, most of the training is "on-the-job" and no real "formal" training.
